Brains slowing leaking out

Last night while talking to my MOM she interrupted my sentence and kept saying "have" Have" Have" I'm trying to figure out what she meant when she said you said "GOT" you use to say "have" "please keep your California accent" so I said (paraphrased in Valley Girl) "Oh Myyyyy Gawwwd! I can't believe I said "got" it must have been at that time my Mom new it was hopeless Wyoming has dun stoled my veeeenackular uhbilluhtees.
