Cranberry Walnut French Toast with Fresh Blueberries

I love to bake my french toast in a cast iron skillet in the oven. When I take it out of the oven all the juices from the berries are bubbling all over. And I'm always trying to capture that in the pictures. Except for this one!

These berries where plump and oooooooozing bubbling berry juice until the second I took it out on the balcony. The moment the Wyoming wind hit it. The berries shrivled and sugar crystals started to form.

I now fully understand the relationship of Men and Cold Water!
