"Don't Squat with your Spurs on!"

"Knock Knock Knock" Lovely downstairs neighbor came to my door today and said she was going for a drive... "I have to visit my mountains,
it' s food for the soul"
Well since my soul had not eaten yet today, I went for a drive...

We were driving along this wonderfully traffic free highway when all of a sudden there was a back-up of cars not moooooving. We soon found out everybody stopped for a....

CATTLEDRIVE!!!!

Here's a great little store that reminded me of "Little House on the Prairie"
A church built to last... a few hundred years

Picnic Time!
Log Jam!
After lunch we climbed( in the car) to almost 11,000 ft
THE SUMMIT

The winds are a bit strong up here. (how can you tell?)
Time to come back down
and stop in Centennial
For Ice Cream!
Our next stop was Vedauwoo

Vedauwoo is an Arapaho word meaning “earthborn spirit”. This mysterious place sits on the high plains of south eastern Wyoming, an oasis of granite domes rounded by severe weather and split with cracks of all sizes. This surreal rocky landscape located in Medicine Bow National Forest features Precambrian granite formations surrounded by clusters of ponderosa pine and aspen trees. Countless boulders scattered throughout the area offer face climbing on textured granite interspersed with feldspar crystals. On a clear day, views of the Continental Divide and the Diamond on Longs Peak can be seen from the top of some crags. The serene grass covered plains surrounding the rocks are home to elk, deer, antelope, beavers, coyotes, golden eagles, hawks, cattle, and cowboys

Otter Rock?

Mirror Lake (when the wind isn't blowing)

What happens when Mail trucks stop to fast.

(tries to bend in half)

We got home around 6pm and were soon welcomed by a tiny bit of rain and

40 MPH winds.

I LOVE WYOMING!!
